HUCHS was established in Pomare in 1991 as a community owned and low cost health service. Our Pomare clinic was opened in 1992 and in 2019 we established our Taita clinic.
Our Services Include

Face to face or phone consultations with a General Practitioner (GP) or Nurse

Daily phone triage for patients with acute or urgent issues

Vaccinations, immunizations, and smears

Drive through vaccinations, immunizations and respiratory clinic at our Pomare clinic

Online health services including managemyhealth patient portal for patients to book appointments, request prescriptions, see lab results and their own medical notes.

Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions are only for long term medications and may take up to 48 hours (2 working days) to complete so please request well in advance.
Your doctor may need to see you before issuing a repeat prescription. You can request a repeat prescription for any of our clinics by ringing 567 6414 or 0800 31 31 00 and leaving a message on our prescription line or through our ManageMyHealth Patient Portal.
Lab Results
As part of our policy at Hutt Union Health you will NOT be notified if your lab test results are normal.
We will contact you to arrange follow up of significant abnormal results that require further action. However, you may call our nurses to confirm results have been received and are in normal range or see your results through our ManageMyHealth Patient Portal.
